Uplift is a Specialist Mortgage and Commercial Finance Broker focused on Property Investors, Developers and Business people. Our primary focus is on HMOs, Holiday Lets and Supported Living. We maintain high competency in other areas.We use smart people and proprietary technology to solve some of the problems in the industry.
Purpose & Problems to Solve
Uplift was set up to solve problems within the property finance industry.

Lack of Specialisation – it is very difficult for brokers to turn away business, so hard for them to specialize on a single area and build detailed knowledge

Poor Tech – while the industry is starting to catch up, many systems are aged and inefficient.

Labour-Intensive-Approach – a generalist approach with inefficient technology leaves businesses little option other than to hire more people. Bottlenecks form, and response times flex. Additionally, larger teams are harder to train.

Technology
We believe technology is essential for any modern business and have spent years developing our internal systems.
Technology lowers the chance of human error, enables the delegation duties across the team, with staff members focusing on the parts of the process they are best at. It makes sure tasks aren’t lost or forgotten, and it reduces the risk of cases falling through by building in fail-safe procedures for certain situations (like checking for C4 for planning permission on small HMOs, for example).
However, the most important benefit of technology is not above. Tech frees up the team to do what they are best at; giving correct advice and dealing with the human-element of property. Technology is tool to make sure Brokers are not distracted by inefficient administration so they can focus on results for the client.
Relationships
We are an Independent Whole of Market Mortgage Broker. Because we are specialised, most of our cases go to the same 15-20 HMO and Holiday Let lenders. This means we get to know the processes and people involved. This is hugely beneficial in understanding which options will deliver on time, as promised.
Who we are
Intelligence, work ethic are the key factors when recruiting anybody into Uplift. Our staff are or have been people with interesting backgrounds new to the industry. This means we build quality and specialist knowledge in all positions with out importing some of the issues present elsewhere.
